Recipe Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350.
Step 2: Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
Step 3: Place roughly 6-7 cinnamon pecans rounded side down (to minimize the size of the surface touching the baking tray) and space out.
Step 4: Place baking sheet in oven for 3 to 4 minutes. Watch your pecans closely as they burn quickly. The goal is to toast the pecans slightly and melt the cinnamon. Remove pecans once thoroughly toasted.
Step 5: Pour one of your favorite bourbons into a mason jar (2 ounces = 1 drink). Add 5-6 of the toasted pecans. Wait at least 3 days to allow the cinnamon pecans to infuse into your whiskey.
Step 6: Place one of the 5 spice Old Fashioned sugar cubes in a shaker. Add 1-2 drops of water to soften the cube. Muddle and stir until you get a nice ooze.
Step 7: Add 2 ounces of your infused cinnamon pecan whiskey to the shaker and stir until mixed thoroughly.
Step 8 (Optional): With a lighter or match torch one end of a cinnamon stick. Hold your glass upside down over the cinnamon stick to collect the smoke in the glass.
Step 9: Quickly add a craft cocktail ice cube to the smokey glass.
Step 10: Spin the smokey RNR bourbon glass and pour your cinnamon whiskey Old Fashioned from the shaker over the ice cube.
Step 11: Garnish with the toasted cinnamon stick and a cinnamon whisky pecan.
Step 12: Enjoy!
